Game Notes

The Black Bears of Pennsylvania Highland Community College handed the Riverhawks their eighth loss of the season Monday evening (12/11). With some overwhelming three-point shooting in the second half, the Black Bears defeated the Riverhawks 92-82.

The NJCAA DIII Region XX game was quite evenly matched throughout the first twenty minutes of play, resulting in twelve lead changes and just a 4-point deficit (41-37) for the Riverhawks as they headed into the locker room at half.

But it was the Black Bears' impressive three-point shooting during the second half that ignited their teams offense. Despite continuing to score the Riverhawks failed to match the Black Bears who netted 7 three-pointers in just a few minutes.

Jacoby Rojas (San Angelo, TX/Northeast) would earn his season high with a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds on the night. Clinton Smith (Glen Burnie, MD/Old Mill) would also earn a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds on the night.

Up Next

The Riverhawks next match-up will be this Wednesday (12/13) as they travel to Frederick, Maryland to face the NJCAA DII Region XX Cougars of Frederick Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm at the Frederick campus.
