ARNOLD, MD. – Anne Arundel Community College second baseman John Greenawalt has been named the NJCAA Region 20 Division II Baseball Co-Player of the Month, it was announced this week. Greenawalt hit safely in 16 of 17 games for the Riverhawks in April.

Greenawalt had seven multi-hit games and posted a team-high .481 average throughout the month. He also led the team with a .554 on base percentage, 12 runs scored, 31 total bases, and 26 total hits.

His consistency also translated to the field where he totaled 32 putouts and a team-high 31 assists. He turned six double plays and committed just two errors.

This year AACC won the most games this season since 2012, and advanced to the double-elimination round of the NJCAA Region 20 Tournament for the first time since 2017.
