Riverhawks Split Doubleheader with Lakers of Garrett College

MCHENRY, MD – The NJCAA DII, Region 20 men's baseball team of Garrett College split a double header with Anne Arundel Community College on Saturday April 2nd with the Riverhawks taking the first game, 6-4, and the Lakers wining the second game, 4-2.

William Brown started on the mound in game one for AACC.  Brown pitched six innings for the Riverhawks, allowing five hits after facing twenty-seven batters.  Aaron Pilkerton finished off with one recorded strike-out.  Jacob Donaldson went 2-for-3 with a RBI and one run.  Michael Takovich recorded two runs, with one hit and a RBI with three at-bats.

Patrick McGinn was on the mound for game two, pitching six for the Riverhawks.  McGinn faced twenty-six batters, allowed six hits and two earned runs, and recorded five strike outs.

The Riverhawks next match-up is home, against the Fighting Owls of Harford Community College on Tuesday afternoon.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. out on the Brown Baseball Field.
