Riverhawks Fall to Lakers of FLCC, Top Hawks of CSM

ARNOLD, MD – On Friday, March 25th the Riverhawks hosted the Lakers from Finger Lakes Community College for some NJCAA men's baseball action.  The visiting DIII Region 3 team from NY got the best of the Riverhawks winning both games of the double-header matchup.

Christopher Wiley started on the mound in game one for AACC, before Austin Scheder then William Matheny stepped in, with Patrick McGinn finishing up.  The Lakers scored seven runs in the second inning and despite giving up nine runs between the sixth and seventh, they were able to hold the
Riverhwaks off and earn the win 14-11.
Game two had Jonathan Heiser starting on the mound for four innings.  Heiser gave up nine hits, struck out one and allowed five earned runs before Nick Palarino took over for the remaining three innings. 
The Riverhawks were able to hold the Lakers to eight runs in game two but it wasn't enough as they lost 8-5.
 

Riverhawks Top Hawks

LA PLATA, MD – On Saturday, March 26th AACC fires back after losing a DH the day before by besting the Hawks from the College of Southern Maryland.  The Riverhawks defeated the NJCAA DII Region 20 Hawks, 6-4 in game one and 6-2 in game two.
Starting pitcher William Brown went three innings in game one giving up two hits, striking out three and allowing one earned run.  Tayvon Smith then entered the game for the remaining four innings and gave up three hits, struck out two and had zero earned runs.
Aaron Pilkerton pitched all seven innings of game two, striking out four, and allowing one earned run.

The Riverhawks next contest is a NJCAA DII Region 20 matchup against host Cardinals of CCBC Catonsville.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
