Women's Cross Country 8th at NJCAA Championship

MILLEDGEVILLE, GA – The Anne Arundel Community College women's cross country team finished eighth at the 2021 NJCAA DIII Cross Country Championship Saturday at Georgia Military College. Five AACC runners set PRs at the race, led by Madison Palmer, who was a medalist for the Riverhawks, finishing eighth overall in the 90-runner field.

Palmer ran the 5k in 20:49.45, a PR that also earned her All-America status. Jasmine Jones took home All-America status with her 16th place finish in 21:22.32, a season PR.

Holly Boggs finished 44th overall with one of her fastest times of the year at 23:28.94, and Sierra Keen finished 66th with one of her fastest times of the season at 25:21.62. Hannah Titus finished with a PR of 26:40.85 in 79th place and Rebecca White placed 81st with a PR of 26:48.85. Merna Shaalan rounded out AACC's squad with a PR of 29:01.71 in 85th place.

AACC finished with 168 points. Oxford College won the team title with 40 points, led by top individual finisher Julia Danko (19:55.02).
