Women's Cross Country Seventh at Don Cathcart Invite

SALISBURY, MD – The sixth-ranked Anne Arundel Community College women's cross country team finished seventh at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University Saturday. Madison Palmer medaled in the event, which was the Riverhawks' first 6k competition of the season.

Palmer placed 10th among the 94-runner field with a time of 23:52.10. Jasmine Jones placed 20th overall at 24:50.00. Holly Boggs finished 40th with a time of 26:16.80. Rebecca White was 67th with a time of 30:49.20, and Hannah Titus finished 76th with a time of 32:06.00. Merna Shaalan (37:44.80) and Jasmine Mauldin (40:14.50) rounded out the Riverhawks racers.

AACC, the only two-year college in the race, finished in seventh out of 12 teams with 175 points, just one point behind NCAA Division I University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Salisbury won the event with 32 points.

The Riverhawks are idle until the Aubrey Shenk Invitational at Gettysburg on Saturday, October 16.
