Men's Cross Country 8th at NJCAA Championships

MILLEDGEVILLE, GA – The Anne Arundel Community College men's cross country team finished eighth at the 2021 NJCAA DIII Cross Country Championship Saturday at Georgia Military College. Five of AACC's runners ran season PR's at the race, led by Paul Watson who earned All-America status with an 17th place finish in the 140-runner field. 

Watson finished the 8k race with a season PR of 27:42.06. Luke Stout finished 50th overall with a PR of 29:22.30, and Luke Jimenez was right behind in 52nd place with a PR of 29:27.67.

Grayson McMeen finished with a time of 29:32.30 in 57th place, one of his fastest races of the season. Spencer Woodbury finished in 74th place with a PR of30:09.93, and Justin Abell rounded out the scoring in 128th place with a PR of 36:37.74.

AACC finished with 215 points, just nine points behind seventh-place Hudson Valley CC. Joliet Junior College took the team title with 91 points, led by top individual finisher Hunter Phillips (25:39.39).
