Men's Cross Country Finishes 8th at Don Cathcart Invite

SALISBURY, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's cross country team finished eighth at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University Saturday. Paul Watson was the top finisher for the Riverhawks, clocking in in 31st place of the 8k race.

Watson finished in 28:43.60, a PR for the freshman. Grayson McMeen finished in 40th place among the 104-runner field with a PR time of 29:27.20. Luke Jimenez PR'd with a time of 30:25.70 in 52nd place. Luke Stout also finished with a PR time of 30:45.50. Justin Abell rounded out the Riverhawks scoring with a time of 39:14.50.

AACC, one of four two-year colleges in the race, finished eighth out of 12 teams overall with 202 points, just three points behind NCAA Division II Mansfield University. NJCAA Division I Hagerstown won the team competition with 28 points. Among NJCAA squads, the Riverhawks were second, ahead of Delaware Tech (248 points) and CCBC Essex (267 points).

The Riverhawks are idle until the Aubrey Shenk Invitational at Gettysburg on Saturday, October 16.
