Solid Finish for Riverhawks Racers at Blazer Twilight Invite

KNOXVILLE, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2021 season at the Blazer Twilight Invitational Friday. Sophomore Madison Palmer placed first overall on the women's side, and Grayson McMeen finished fourth on the men's side to lead the Riverhawks. 

After a slow start, all three runners finished in the top seven of the field. McMeen finished in 19:40.4 followed by Luke Jimenez in fifth at 20:01.8. Luke Stout came in seventh at 20:56.9. 

On the women's side, Palmer finished in 21:44.6, more than a minute and a half ahead of the second-place finisher. Jasmine Jones placed fourth with a time of 23:27.6, and Holly Boggs came in eighth at 25:08.1 Sierra Keen finished 13th in 27:29.5, while Hannah Titus (15th) and Rebecca White (16th) wrapped up the AACC squad's finishers. 

AACC is back in action on Friday, September 10 at the Green Terror Challenge hosted by McDaniel College.
