Niagara County Community College swept a non-conference doubleheader from host Anne Arundel Community College on Sunday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 5 in the latest NJCAA Div. III poll, are now 11-3 overall on the year. NCCC is next in action at 3 p.m. Tuesday for a doubleheader at Cuyahoga Community College.

Sophomore Will Lawrence was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored in the narrow win. Classmates Vincent Chiarenza and Kyle LaPlante each added two RBIs. Second-year pitcher Brandon Underhill got the win in relief as he allowed just one hit and one earned run in 2.2 innings of work.
Niagara CCC 12, Anne Arundel CC 2
Sophomore Gunner Becker improved to 3-0 on the young season after tossing a complete-game three-hitter. He finished with seven strikeouts. Chiarenza was 3-for-3 with four RBIs and scored three times, while Lawrence finished 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Freshman Sam Mullen was 1-for-2 with three RBIs and sophomore Bryan Rivera ripped a two-run home run and scored twice.
