Women's Cross Country Wins MDJUCO Title

HAGERSTOWN, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College women's cross country team won the MDJUCO Division III Championship and finished as Region XX Runners Up at the conference and region championships hosted by Hagerstown Community College Saturday.

Led by a third place MDJUCO and seventh place overall finish from Maggie Stallings, the Riverhawks placed four runners in the conference's top 10 to earn the league title. Stallings finished with a time of 23:28.5. Leslei Garcia finished in fifth place among conference runners and 12th overall with a 24:40.2, while Nicole Newell placed eighth in MDJUCO and 15th overall with a 25:37.0. Morgan Argubright finished 17th overall and ninth in MDJUCO with a time of 25:42.3. Rebecca White (28:14.7), Amaya Odgers (29:17.7) and Cindy Robles-Mendez (33:07.9) rounded out the Riverhawks team.

Stallings and Garcia both earned DIII All-Region XX honors.

Next up for AACC is the NJCAA National Championships in Holyoke, Mass., on November 2nd.
