Men's & Women's Cross Country Compete at Gettysburg Invite

GETTSYBURG, PA – The Anne Arundel Community College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 31st annual Gettysburg Invitational Saturday. The Riverhawks women's team finished 23rd and the men's team finished 27th.

Matthew Brown led AACC on the men's side in 139th place among the 236 runner field with a 32:22.8. Gordon Bickerstaff followed in 148th place with a 33:38.7. Timothy Caldwell followed in 154th with a 34:27.6, and Brendan Quinn finished five places behind with a time of 34:46.4. Jude Poole wrapped up AACC's team in 180th place with a 52:48.8.

The women's team was led by Maggie Stallings, who finished in 106th place among the 259 runner field with a 28:39. Leslei Garcia finished in 116th place with a 29:30.9, and Nicole Newell was in 125th place with a 30:35.8. Morgan Argubright finished in 138th place with a 31:37.6, and Rebecca White wrapped up scoring runners for AACC in 143rd place with a 32:25.0. Cindy Robles-Mendez finished with a time of 41:51.2.

Both AACC teams are back in action Saturday, October 26th at the MDJUCO/NJCAA Region XX Division III Championships at Hagerstown. The men's race begins at 10 am with the women's following at 11 am.
