SALISBURY, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's and women's cross country teams opened the season Saturday, August 31st at the 23rd Annual Salisbury University Fall Classic.
Freshman Brendan Quinn represented the Riverhawks' men's team in his collegiate debut among the 60-runner field that included teams from NCAA Division I and III, as well as NJCAA teams.
On the women's side, freshman Rebecca White and sophomore Leslei Garcia got their first race under their belts, with White posting a 34:47.58 time in her collegiate debut. Garcia finished one place behind with a 34:56.88. The women's field of 76 also included NCAA Division I and III teams as well as NJCAA competitors.
The men's and women's cross country teams have a bit of a break before competing at the Penn State Mont Alto Invitational on Saturday, September 21.
