ARNOLD, MD – Anne Arundel Community College freshman outside hitter Karen Bautista Carmona has added All-Maryland JUCO honors to her postseason accolades with a spot on the Honorable Mention Team it was announced late Tuesday.

Bautista Carmona, who was also named to the All Region XX First Team, averaged 2.36 kills per set with 49 aces in 70 sets during her rookie campaign. She totaled 10 blocks in 22 matches and 1.86 digs per set. She recorded a career-high 18 kills in a 3-1 win over Howard on September 14. She was named to the Region XX Division III All-Tournament Team after totaling 11 kills and 14 digs in the tournament.

AACC finished the season with an 11-12 record, posting the most wins since 2012.
