Game Notes

The Riverhawks defeated the NJCAA DI Region XX Hawks of Hagerstown Community College 4-1 this past Friday afternoon (9/29) – handing the Hawks their 3rd loss of the season.

The match was scoreless for almost the full 1st half before Riverhawk Angelina Horan (Annapolis, MD/Calverton) netted her second goal of the season at the 44th minute of play.

The Riverhawks would hold that 1-0 lead to finish the half and continue to hold until HCC would finally get one past Riverhawk goalkeeper Deanna Valerien (Gambrills, MD/North County) in the 78th minute of the match.

Quick to respond, Madeline Stevenson (Severn, MD/Archbishop Spalding) would reclaim the lead (2-1) for the Riverhawks with her 5th goal of the season. AACC would continue to control the game and score twice more – coming from Gabriell Keogh (Gambrills, MD/Arundel) and again from Stevenson.

Stevenson's second goal of the game marked her 6th for the season - tying her in the top 10 rankings for goals of the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO).
