ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team saw its three-game win streak halted Wednesday night, falling to Division II Chesapeake, 94-47, in Jenkins Gym. Sarah Healy extended her double double streak to eight games with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Lacey Hinkle added 10 points, six boards, and three assists for AACC, while Autumn Foster-Fields pulled down nine boards to go with five points. Caitlyn Stanbery was perfect at the free throw line at 4-for-4 and dished a pair of assists.
The reigning District Champions held control of the game from the start, jumping out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter. AACC rallied in the fourth quarter to shoot 32% and made 3 of 7 from beyond the arc.
The Skipjacks held a 74-46 lead in rebounds and scored 22 points off of AACC's 27 turnovers.
AACC looks to get back in the win column Friday night in a 5 pm game at Potomac State.
