Game Notes
The Riverhawk men's soccer team earned a Regional & Conference win this past Saturday (9/22), defeating the NJCAA DI Cardinals of CCBC Catonsville, 3-0. Played on the Cardinals turf, the Riverhawks finished on their second half opportunities to claim the victories as the match was scoreless after the first half.
Recording his first goal of the season, Cole Switzer (Pasadena, MD/Northeast) would finish off an assist from Ryan Owens (Glen Burnie, MD/Glen Burnie) to put AACC on the board seven mintues into the second half. Owens would follow up once again with an assist, as Brendan Quinn (Pasadena, MD/Northeast) would also tally his first goal of the season.
With time winding down in the match, Noah Beall (Odenton, MD/Annapolis Area Christian School) would find Alexander Calogero (Davidsonville, MD/South River) to put the Riverhawks up 3-0. With just eight minutes remaining, the Cardinals were unable to get anything past Riverhawk goalkeeper Austin Noland (Glen Burnie, MD/Glen Burnie), and AACC would earn the victory. Noland would finish with 5 saves on the day.
