Race Notes

              The Riverhawk women's cross country team traveled to Hagerstown, MD on Saturday (10/21) to compete in the 2017 DIII Region XX Championships, and the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Hagerstown Community College. The Riverhawks would finish the championship day placing 3rd in the conference, and 2nd in the region.

              AACC had six runners for the race – with Caitlyn Shriver (Pasadena,MD/Northeast) finishing first for the Riverhawks with a 4k time of 24:42. MacKenzie Schwartz (Pasadena, MD/Northeast) and Madeline Fitzgerald (Shady Side, MD/Southern) would finish next for AACC, almost side by side. Madeline Szanyi (Mayo, MD/South River) would be the next Riverhawk finisher followed by Alyssa Barontella-O'Toole and Amaya Odgers(Chesapeake, VA/Annapolis). 

Up Next

              The Riverhawks will travel to Stanley Park in Westfield Massachusetts to compete in the 2017 NJCAA DIII Women's Cross Country National Championship. Scheduled for November 4th, the championship race is hosted by Holyoke Community College.
