NORTH EAST, Md. – The Anne Arundel Community College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to host Cecil College in NJCAA Region 20 divisional action Tuesday evening. Set scores were 25-14, 23-25, 21-25, and 18-25.
The Riverhawks (2-5) hit .273 in the opening set, but were set back by costly errors in the last three. AACC consistently served well on the night, totaling 14 aces led by four from Jadyn Brown.
Mia Keen paced the offense with 10 kills and 16 assists. Nadia Suber added seven kills, while Julia Fox hit a team-high .227 with five kills and zero errors.
Libero Liv Valdez totaled 23 digs while Brown and Fox each picked up a solo block.
AACC is back in action on Saturday, September 21, in a noon divisional match against Howard Community College at Atholton High School in Columbia, Md.
