Game Notes
This was opening day for the Riverhawks of AACC – hosting the NJCAA DII Region XX Cougars of Frederick Community College. Although they finished strong after first match jitters that were apparent in set one, it just wasn't enough to get the win.
SET 1: First match/first set of the season for the Riverhawks proved to be a tough one as they struggled to find their rhythm – losing 25-6.
SET 2: Settling down and focusing their skills, AACC improves but still falls short, losing 25-11.
SET 3: In a must win set, the Riverhawks put in the full effort but were edged out, 25-20, by the Cougars. FCC secures the match victory, 3-0.

The Riverhawks next contest will be on the road as they travel to face the NJCAA DII Region XX Nighthawks of Northern Virginia Community College. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m. Thursday September 6th at the NOVA campus in Springfield, VA.
