Game Notes

              The Riverhawks earned the 4-0 win over the NJCAA DIII Region XV Tigers of the Fashion Institute of Technology on Saturday (9/16). The win was game 1/day 1 of the Dragon Invitational Tournament hosted by Howard Community College in Columbia, MD.

              Scoring her first goal of the season, Alana Marshall (Pasadena, MD/Chesapeake) got the Riverhawks the 1-0 lead at the 28th minute of the first half. The score would remain 1-0 as the first half ended, with AACC outshooting FIT, 8-2.

              Just minutes into the second half, Randal Graham (Bowie, MD/Bowie) would also tally her first goal of the season – giving the Riverhawks a more comfortable, 2-0, lead over the Tigers.

              As the Riverhawks continued to maintain control of the game, Madeline Stevenson (Severn, MD/Archbishop Spalding) would tally her first and second goals of the season and help lead the Riverhawks with the final 4-0 victory.

              The Riverhawks will travel back to Howard Community College in Columbia, MD for Day 2 (Sunday 9/17) of the Dragon Invitational Tournament where they are scheduled to face the NJCAA DIII Region XV Lions of Nassau Community College.
