Balanced Offense Leads Women's Hoops Past Westmoreland

WESTMORELAND, PA – Three players recorded double-doubles as the Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team won its third-straight game by at least a 20 point margin Saturday in a 78-56 win at Westmoreland.

Ruth Marshall recorded her first career double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds as she dominated the defensive glass with 11 boards. Sarah Healy posted her seventh consecutive double double with 13 points and 16 boards. Autumn Foster-Fields also hit the mark with a team-high 23 points to go with 10 boards.

A 30-point second quarter put the game out of reach for the host Wolfpack, as AACC carried 20-point lead into halftime at 44-24. Much like the night before, Westmoreland staged a comeback attempt in the third quarter, but AACC held them to nine points in the fourth to keep the game in hand.

AACC returns to Jenkins Gym to open MDJUCO play when the Riverhawks host Chesapeake on Wednesday, November 13th at 5 pm.
