Riverhawks Win Against Prince George's Community College

ARNOLD, MD – AACC surged to a 42-29 lead after two quarters and then defeated Prince George's Community College, 75-53, in a MD JUCO women's basketball contest.  The NJCAA DIII win ended AACC's 4-game losing streak as they improve to 4-15 overall and 1-8 in the conference.

Bri'ana Oliver led AACC with 19 points, six rebounds and six steals.  She went 6-16 on field goals and 6-10 on free throws.  Cyressann Dauz went 3-6 from beyond the arc and added 13 points to the Riverhawk total.

In addition to outscoring the Owls in each quarter of play, the Riverhawks held their opponent to only 8 total points in the 4th.  It was a much needed win for Anne Arundel Community College as they look to face some tough MD JUCO competition in their upcoming match-ups.

The Riverhawks game at Frederick Community College this Saturday (1/23) has been postponed so be sure to come back next week as AACC will host Montgomery College.  Tip-off for this conference and divisional match-up is set for Wednesday (1/27) at 5:00 p.m. in the Jenkins Gymnasium.
