ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College softball team concluded their 2016 campaign with a 10-22 overall record and a 5-13 record in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) competition.
The sophomore-dominate team's season ended just shy of the NJCAA DIII Region XX Tournament Championship game, with a 6-5 loss to Montgomery College in the semi-finals. Sophomores Nicole Cox, Emma Yale, and London Miller all earned All-Tournament Team Honors with their performances for the weekend tournament.
Cox was also awarded MD JUCO 1st-team all-conference, with Yale and Andrea Jones awarded MD JUCO 2nd-team all-conference for their excellent season performances.
It was the Riverhawks first season under newly appointed co-head coaches Guy Klingensmith and Brittany Biermann.
