Prince George's Clips Men's Soccer in OT

LARGO, MD – Prince George's Community College sophomore Temilolu Idowu scored the only goal of the game in the 93rd minute to lift the Owls over visiting Anne Arundel Community College Wednesday evening. AACC goalkeeper Brenden LeMaster made nine saves in the loss.

LeMaster came up huge in the second half with six saves as AACC finished the in-region divisional slate at 2-1 for the fourth seed in the upcoming Region XX tournament. He finished the game with nine saves overall.

A pair of Owls corner kicks in the 36th minute gave way to a pair of tests on LeMaster, but he prevailed, setting up AACC's Alex Calogero for a shot in the 41st minute.

PG held possession for the start of the second half, but fresh legs for AACC led to a momentum shift in favor of the Riverhawks.

The AACC defense was key in the early stages of OT, blocking an Owls' scoring attempt in the 91st minute.

On paper, Prince George's outshot AACC at a 22-10 clip, holding a slim 10-6 advantage in shots on goal.

AACC will host NOVA on Saturday, October 26th at 11 am in the Region XX Tournament play in game.
