Carroll Edges Men's Soccer in OT

WESTMINSTER, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 overtime loss at Carroll Community College Tuesday night. The Riverhawks got a second-half goal from Luke Hanno.

AACC outshot the Lynx, 23-10, including by an 11-3 margin in the opening frame, but Carroll keeper Justin Ricketts made 10 saves in the game to keep AACC out of the win column.

After a scoreless first half, Kaleb Lippy put the hosts on the board in the 58th minute.

Zeiad Elsayed connected with Hanno in the 61st minute to tie the game. AACC peppered Rickets with four shots from then to the end of regulation, but the keeper kept the Riverhawks from getting the go-ahead goal.

Brandon Bimestefer scored the game-winner for Carroll in the 95th minute

AACC goalkeeper Brenden LeMaster made four saves in the loss.

The Riverhawks return home to host Chesapeake Thursday in a 5 pm game.
