Game Notes

The Riverhawks hosted the NJCAA DI Region XX Cardinals of CCBC Catonsville this past Friday night (10/6). Taking the game through double overtime, the teams would end the night in a tie, 1-1.

The first half ended with neither team finding the net, with AACC outshooting Catonsville 7-5 and each each goalkeep making 3 saves.

The Cardnials would be first to break the scoring drought – scoring at the 55th minute of the match and claiming the 1-0 lead.

Deion Hunter (Laurel, MD/Meade) and Noah Beall (Odenton, MD/Annapolis Area Christian School) would answer for the Riverhawks as Hunter would finish off a long assist from Beall. With just nine minuets left to play the match was tied at 1-1.

Beall's offensive efforts would have him finding the net once more – but just not soon enough, as time would expire and the goal would be officially ruled no good.

The first overtime would end with few scoring opportunities for both teams, and with the score stuck at 1-1, the match was headed for double overtime.

The second overtime produced more shots for each team but once again neither team was able to find the net.
