The Riverhawks earned a Regional/Conference & Divisional win on the road this past Friday night (9/22) – shutting out the No. 8 ranked NJCAA DIII Region XX Owls of Prince George's Community College, 2-0.
Wasting little time of the highly anticipated match-up, Noah Beall (Odenton, MD/Annapolis Area Christian School) found the net less than four minutes into the game off an assist from Ryan Gruss (Pasadena, MD/Chesapeake). Gruss, unassisted, would bump the Riverhawk lead another goal at the 18 minute, keeping the early pressure against the Owls. Finishing the half 2-0, neither AACC or PGCC would score in the 2nd.
Austin Noland (Glen Burnie, MD/Glen Burnie) would tally 8 saves for the game – with zero goals against, giving the Riverhawks the 2-0 shutout over the Owls.
