Game Notes
The Riverhawks were set to face their fourth straight NJCAA DI team this season – hosting the Seahawks of Cecil College under the lights on Friday September 8, 2017. A MD JUCO conference match-up, the Riverhawks walked away with the win, 5-0.
Claiming the lead early, Deion Hunter (Laurel, MD/Meade) rocketed a shot 40 yards out for the Riverhawks – his first goal of the season, just 54 seconds into the match.
Sophomore Logan Mayette (Millersville, MD/Old Mill) also recorded his first goal of the season – off an assist from Hunter. The Riverhawks would finish the first half leading 2-0, outshooting the Seahawks 18-1.
Ball control and momentum would carry over for AACC, as Zachary Roberts (Pasedena, MD/Archbishop Spalding) would score off a deep assist from Mark Woodard (Hanover, MD/Meade) nine minutes into the second half.
Ryan Gruss (Pasadena, MD/Chesapeake) and Mayette would each score later in the half (each unassisted) – securing the Riverhawk win, 5-0.

The Riverhawks next match up is a Conference, Regional, and divisional match up against the NJCAA DIII Region XX Dragons of Howard Community College. The match will be played at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD – scheduled for 4:00 pm on Wednesday September 13th.
