Riverhawk Golfers Finish Round Three at NJCAA Championships

CHAUTAUQUA, NY – Anne Arundel Community College golfers Luke Schwartz and Michael Weller posted solid scores in Thursday's third round in the NJCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship at Chautauqua Golf Course.

Schwartz finished the day with a 79 on the course, teeing off from the 10th and posting his best scores when he finished on the front nine. He currently stands in a tie for eighth place overall and in third among individual competitors.

Weller fired an 80 with his best scores on the front nine after starting on the first tee in fog and spitting rain. Weller stands in a tie for 34th place overall and is fourth among competitors from Region XX.

Both Riverhawk golfers rank among the leaders in Par 3 scoring, with Schwartz at +4 and Weller at +5. Schwartz added nine par scores for a tournament total of 32, just one off the lead.

Tee times for Friday's final round have Schwartz teeing off of the first at 9:32 am, and Weller teeing off from the 10th at 10:04 am.
