Golf competes in MD JUCO action at Cumberland CC

CUMBERLAND, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College golf team placed one stroke out of third place in a Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference quad match played at Cumberland Country Club.

Bucks County finished atop the team leaderboard with a score of 321 and was led by overall top finisher Chris Benvento, who shot a one-over 72. Garrett College placed second (338), College of Southern Maryland finished third, just one stroke ahead of Anne Arundel Community College (341).

The Riverhawks placed two individuals in the top 10 as Luke Schwartz and Alex Colonna tied for 10th place with an 84. Yeager Mason finished a stroke behind in 12th place, while Michael Weller rounded out the scoring tied for 16th with an 88.

Schwartz is currently tied for fourth place in the MD JUCO with 37 points.

AACC continues MD JUCO play on Thursday, April 18 at Oakland Golf Club.
