Round One Results of 2018 NJCAA DIII National Championship

Match Notes

            CHAUTAUQUA, NY - The Riverhawk men's golf team finished up round one of the 2018 NJCAA DIII National Championship this past Tuesday afternoon (6/5). Hosted by Jamestown Community College at the Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, New York – the tournament has 86 entered athletes, hailed from 11 states, consisting of four rounds.

            Representing Anne Arundel Community College at the tournament are Riverhawks Ryan Brophy (Annapolis, MD/Annapolis Area Christian School), Brian Morusiewicz (Owings, MD/Archbishop Spalding), Jonathan Reeder (Dunkirk, MD/Northern), Justin Sodeman (Bowie, MD/St. Mary's), and Michael Weller (Edgewater, MD/South River).

            Reeder would end round one as leader for the Riverhawks, shooting an 80 – sitting him tied for 18th in the individual rankings. Brophy is sitting close behind Reeder, finishing with an 81 for round one, tying him for 24th individually. Weller would follow shooting an 89, Morusiewicz shot a 94, and Sodeman finishing with a 97. As a team, the Riverhawks are currently sitting in 10th (of 12).
