ARNOLD, MD – Anne Arundel Community College's men's golf team has started off strong this Spring season, placing 1st as a team in their first two matches.
Opening the season, the Riverhawks traveled to the Swan Point Country Club to face opponents from College of Southern Maryland, Allegany College of Maryland, and Hagerstown Community College. AACC would place first for the match, with Joshua Maisel tying for 2nd for individuals, shooting an 84.
Jonathan Reeder finished 5th overall shooting 86, Aaron jones finished 8th shooting 90, Brett Puhl tied for 9th shooting 92, Michael Reeder tied for 12th shooting 99 and Alex Booth at 15th shooting 109.
Next on the schedule was a home match for AACC, hosted at The Golf Club at South River. Once again competing against College of Southern Maryland, Allegany College of Maryland, and Hagerstown Community College the Riverhawks took 1st place.
In addition to the Riverhawks winning as a team, Maisel was 1st for individuals, shooting 70 – 6 strokes ahead of the 2nd place finisher.
Jones and Reeder (Jon) would tie for 8th shooting 88, Reeder (Mike) finished 12th shooting 92, with Puhl and Booth finishing 14th and 15th shooting 101 and 122, respectively.
