Chesapeake Runs Past Men's Basketball

ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's basketball team fell to visiting Division II Chesapeake, 102-56, Wednesday evening in Jenkins Gym. Jamar Young scored 15 points to lead the Riverhawks (2-2).

Davon Jones added 10 points on 4-for-9 shooting, and added four rebounds. Joseph Chase had six rebounds to go with six points, while Michael Sullivan led the bench with six points.

The teams traded three-pointers to open the game, but by the midway point of the first half, Chesapeake used a 20-5 run to take control.

The two teams battled it out in the early goings of the second half, however Chesapeake took advantage of the long ball to sink 6 of 13 three-pointers in the stanza to put the game out of reach.

Overall, the Skipjacks held a 52-36 advantage in rebounds, including 37 off the defensive glass.

The Riverhawks are off until Wednesday, November 20th, when they host Howard in a 7 pm game.
