Game Notes

A first half deficit would prove too much to overcome as the Riverhawks dropped a conference contest against the Hawks of College of Southern Maryland (CSM) 77-62. The loss is the seventh straight for AACC as they battle to get back into the win column.

Posting 24 points in the first half the Riverhawks found themselves down 17 points at the intermission. Despite winning the second half over CSM, 38-36, the 17 point first half deficit couldn't be erased.

Dayvon Cuffey (Glen Burnie, MD/ Glen Burnie) and Deondre McNeill (Pasadena, MD/ Chesapeake) each posted double-doubles for AACC with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 points, 11 rebounds respectively. Jacoby Rojas (San Angelo, TX/ Northeast) was the leading scorer for the Riverhawks at 20 points and he just missed a double-double with 9 rebounds.

Despite shooting over 50% from the floor the Riverhawks made only three from beyond the three-point stripe on 14 attempts. They rebounded it well with 22 offensive boards, nearly matching their defensive rebound mark of 23.

The Riverhawks will look to translate their second half momentum against the Hawks to their next match-up against the Dragons.
