Shenandoah Takes Pair from Baseball

WINCHESTER, VA – The Anne Arundel Community College dropped a pair of games against the Shenandoah JV team Sunday, falling 10-9 in a walkoff loss in the opener, and 9-0 in the nightcap.

Shelby Wheeler went 3-for-5 with two RBI in the opening game to lead a balanced Riverhawks offense. Andrew Revels and Ian Sterling each had three hits, and Blake Rebstock drove in two runs on two hits.

AACC scored three runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game at 9-9, but the Hornets' Luke Schaffer hit a solo home run tin the bottom of the eighth to secure the walk off win.

In game two, the Riverhawks had to play catch up the entire game and kept it close until a six-run sixth inning for the home team put the game out of reach. Overall, AACC had four hits in the game.

The Riverhawks take on NCAA Division III Washington College Wednesday, April 17, in a 3:30 pm single game in Chestertown.
