No. 13 Ranked Lady Owls To Defend Region Title vs. Riverhawks

The Prince George's Community College Women's Basketball team hosts Anne Arundel's Riverhawks inside Novak Field House on Friday, November 19th at 5 PM. Anne Arundel has been receiving votes in the NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball weekly rankings while Prince George's is currently ranked at number 13. The matchup will be both teams first Region 20 divisional game of the season.

Prince George's enters Friday's contest 2-1 on the year after dropping their first game at home on Tuesday to Rowan College of South Jersey – Gloucester, 65-45. Anne Arundel is currently 0-3 and last played Saturday, November 6th against Garrett College during the Jim Walton Classic in Keyser, WV where the Riverhawks fell, 68-36. The Owls last win came at home against Garrett on November 10th as Prince George's defeated the Lakers 57-52. Prince George's will aim to get back in the win column against a Riverhawks team that has struggled to open the season.

The last time the two teams met was in the 2020 Region 20 Division III Championship in Youngwood, PA when the Owls captured their fifth Region title after downing the Riverhawks, 74-60.

Those wishing to attend Friday's game must purchase a ticket online and present their receipt along with a copy of their vaccine card to gain admission. Prince George's Community College students, staff, and faculty do not require a ticket but must present a current college ID. All spectators must comply with all COVID-19 protocols in place.
