AACC Hosted the 2015 MD JUCO Golf Tournament at the Golf Club at South River, April 30, 2015
First tee time: 12:30 p.m. 

Congratulations to Hagerstown Community College, Athletic Director Bernard Johnson, Coach Bill Hoffman and his team for winning the 2015 MD JUCO Championship with a 315 team score.

The tournament champion was decided by one stroke between two Hagerstown teammates. Alex Grove shot a 75 with Ryan Crabtree shooting a 76 for second. Four players finished the day with a 78 leading to a four player shoot out for the final three spots on the first team. In the playoff Cody Jameson and David Hall shot 4’s to secure first team slots. Kevin McDaniel and Tad Dinan shot 5’s to force a second playoff. McDaniel edged Dinan to earn the final spot.

In 2014 the Pioneers placed second in the one round tournament shooting a 325 combined total of the four scores. The last time the Pioneers won the championship was in 2009. 

The Pioneers return three from the 2014 season, including all-conference golfers Jack Ma who took second place overall (77) and Tad Dinan who shot an 80 to tie for seventh place.

AACC will compete next in the NJCAA Division III Tournament hosted by Westmoreland County Community College at the Latrobe Elks Golf Course, Latrobe Pa. May 10-12, 2015.
