BALTIMORE, MD – Earlier this month, the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) announced its 2018-19 All-MD JUCO Men's Basketball team and Dayvon Cuffey (Glen Burnie, MD/Glen Burnie) of the Riverhawks men's basketball team was honored with a selection to the men's 2nd team on March 6, 2019.
Cuffey was an avid leader and motivator for the Riverhawks team this season, starting in all 27 games while continuously finishing among the top for AACC and MD JUCO. The 6'4" sophomore forward led the team in both field goal scoring (52%) and total points scored (509). Cuffey also managed to excel above the rim, bringing down a team leading 237 rebounds finishing 5th overall in MD JUCO.
This talented basketball player's success did not go unnoticed this season as Cuffey is being heavily recruited by four-year institutions and he has his eye on the next level. Dayvon doesn't take this honor lightly, as he rolled up his sleeve to show his tattoo and remarked, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, Phillipians 4:13."
