2017-18 Region XX & MD JUCO Conference All-Academic Teams Released

ARNOLD, MD – With the 2017-18 academic year concluded, Anne Arundel Community College Riverhawk student-athletes have been awarded from the region (Region XX) and the conference (Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference, MD JUCO) with great honors for their work in the classroom. Thirteen Riverhawks earned 2017-18 All-Academic Team honors for Region XX and twenty-one Riverhawks earned 2017-18 All-Academic Team honors for MD JUCO.

Region XX All-Academic Team Honors Eligibility Requirements:

            The student athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 or higher. The student athlete must have completed a minimum of thirty-six (36) credit hours of college course work. The student athlete must have participated in at least one season of the varsity sport in the year for which they are being nominated.

MD JUCO All-Academic Team Honors Eligibility Requirements:

            The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference annually recognizes success in the classroom from those eligible student-athletes across the 16 member institutions. The MD JUCO All-Academic Team is awarded to those student-athletes who have participated in at least one sport for one season while achieving an overall grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. First-year students must have earned at least 18 credits, while second-year students must have earned at least 42 credits to be eligible for the award.
