Foster-Fields Ranked No. 1 in Conference

ARNOLD, MD – Riverhawk Autumn Foster-Fields of the Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team has earned herself a no. 1 ranking in the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) for points per game with her impressive 23.1 average. As a team, AACC is currently 4-3 on the season overall and 2-0 in the MD JUCO conference.

A freshman from Broadneck High School out of Annapolis, MD, Foster-Fields has proven to be a driving force for the Riverhawks with her stat-studded performances thus far. In all but one game, Autumn has been leading scorer for the Riverhawks with her highest performance stemming from the 70-34 win over NJCAA DII Region XX Dragons of Howard Community College where Fields earned a double-double with 30 points while grabbing 10 rebounds. Fields has recorded 3 double-doubles overall this season.

A reflection of Autumn's true presence on the court was established in game 1 for the Riverhawks as they opened their season on the road against Conference powerhouse Harford Community College. Struggling early with injuries, the Riverhawks traveled to face the DI Fighting Owls with just 6 women. Despite losing and being held to just 26 points on the night, Foster-Fields pushed through the adversity and earned a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Be sure to check out Autumn and the rest of the women's basketball team this Monday (12/11) as they are set to host the NJCAA DIII Region XX Black Bears of Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 pm in the Jenkins Gymnasium of the Anne Arundel Community College campus in Arnold, MD.
